The Fall is going to be an incredible season for the body of Christ. Kentucky is one of the most beautiful states in the union during the fall. The color of the leaves seems to prophecy that is Harvest Time!

It does not take a Political Science major to tell that America is headed for monumental change. Of course, it doesn't take a Political Science major for much of anything. But, regardless of whether you a Democrat or a Republican both tickets represent a transition in the landscape of American politics.

My passion is not politics and my gift is not economics but when two storm fronts collide it means that tornadoes are in the forecast-mobile home beware. We are about to see a level of change like we have not seen since the 1960's. War, the economy, racial unrest are about to ignite America in a firestorm of rapid change. This is not to frighten anyone, I for one believe that much of this change is long overdue. I am simply stating the obvious.

While some may be alarmed about all this I am elated. I see an opportunity for REVIVAL. This is just what America needs to wake up. The church has slept through the last quarter of the twentieth century and is off to a rocky start in the twenty-first. This may be the best opportunity of our lifetime to lay in the sickle and gather the harvest. People are frightened by the political and economic scene. Forgive my frankness but is either parties presidential ticket a reflection of America's greatness or America's severe dysfunction. Does either on instill confidence of peace and prosperity. Let's face the facts, monumental change is coming and America is not ready for it. Fanny Crosby said it best, "in times like these we need an anchor, in times like these we need a savior." May god bless the mess that revealed my need for Jesus Christ.

I do feel a bit a chill in the air today. Change is coming. A season of harvest is on its way!

The Devil's Greatest Lie is Once Saved Always Saved

This message is by no means exhaustive in it's discourse on the doctrine of perseverance. It examines only one scriptural reference in refuting unconditional eternal security. However, this message does unmask the plot of Satan to lull the American church to sleep by sedating them with the heresy of once saved always saved. It is a sinister belief that must constantly amend the scriptures in order to defend it's position. It requires years of theological training in scriptural manipulation to believe in Calvinism. Whereas the common man given access to the word of God comes away from his study knowing beyond all academic maneuvering that one must endure, abide, and keep your hands firmly gripped to the plow handle of God.

Paul, unfortunately was not a Calvinist, he considered his greatest triumph to be, "I have kept the faith." Despite the overwhelming Biblical evidence that points to the necessity of continued perseverance thousands of preachers stand by the coffin's of blatant sinners and proclaim that they are in heaven. Their life and fruit are set aside because they prayed at a VBS and or were baptized by a traveling evangelist. The fruit of the this false teaching is a one time, no renewal fire insurance gospel. Our churches are inundated with people who do not have a clue what it means to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. They are not even aware that there is an opportunity through the cross to know Him. The emphasis is placed on the birth not the life of the believer.

Rom 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. (TLB)

Jesus told the woman at the well that if you drink of the water that I speak of you will never thirst again. This is where the "once saved always saved" ends their study and draws the wrong conclusion. But Jesus went on to say that it will be a well springing up into everlasting life. Jesus didn't give us a drink-He gave us a well that we can continually drink from. Stop perpurtrating a theological crime upon the people of God. This liscense to a lukewarm walk must be revoked and the truth declared, "those that endure to the end the same shall be saved!" Backslider, your soul is at risk. Lukewarm preacher return to your first love or God will vomit you out. Stiff necked and hard hearted Deacon the flames of hell chase after thee. Run home to the Father's house where he awaits with open arms and he will declare, "this is my son which was dead and now he is alive again."

"Everything that can be shaken will be shaken." This weeks message was intended to reveal that the Church, which is founded upon the Rock Christ Jesus, is that which cannot be shaken. In Contrast many churches seem as faddish as a Paris fashion show. Don't get me wrong, I am in strong support of cultural relevance. However, in matters of doctrine and the foundation of truth laid by the Apostles we must remain immovable and unshakable. Far too many modern preachers refuse to hold the standard of righteousness and preach a message that confronts sin and calls for true repentance.

Pop psychology, dianetics, and inclusion-ism have replaced the cross and Christ's call to sacrifice. Standards once thought as much a matter of common sense as a religious standards have been replaced with moral relativism and situational ethics. The church must stand against the tsunami of moral decay sweeping our nation. I would like to send a word of prophesy to all those Pastors and Teachers who have sold out to marketing plans, church growth and the Mickey Mouse Ministry approach. Return to the truth and you will return to the presence of the Lord. Jesus said, "I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life." There is something missing at the "Six Flags Over Jesus" Mega Churches. That missing element and the fact that they can function and grow without it is frightening. What is missing? After all, we have racquetball courts, professional musicians, mass marketing, networking opportunities, swimming pools and movie stars. I will tell you what is missing, "The Holy Spirit."

John 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged."

How can we claim the presence of the Holy Spirit when our message does not in anyway reflect his stated mission?
